TheKinksFan Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 I don't know if my question qualifies as stupid, but I try to do my best. AZ Model will soon release a Bf 109 V-13/14, and I'm a sucker for anything in red https://www.modelarovo.cz/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/AZ7870_kamo.jpg What kind of kind of canopy did the V-13/14 have? Did it have the same as E-1? I will always get masks if they are available, and could get ones that have already been released, if the clear parts are the same.
Jochen Barett Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 (edited) Judging by the pictures that canopy looks a lot like an early E canopy. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/upload/iblock/9f6/qz961da5owbiroffmwxhh652g59isv5a/Real.jpg and https://www.asisbiz.com/il2/Bf-109D/Bf-109D/images/Messerschmitt-Prototype-Bf-109V16-6D-ISLU-Ernst-Udet-crash-1937-01.jpg and https://www.modelarovo.cz/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Me109-V14-E02-Series-Prototype-D-ISLU-WrkN1029-Black6-Flown-By-Major-General-Ernst-Udet-At-IV-International-Flight-Meeting-Dubendorf-Zurich-Switzerland-1937_11f-s.jpg But who knows what's in the kit (and which detail I just missed)? Tweener Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 With regards to the G-14 (NOT the /AS models), which left-side nose intake should I use (small or large), and does the MG131 cover on the right side of the nose need the smaller secondary bump or not? I'm building an AZ kit as a Yugo G-14 and (think I) know I need the taller tail, standard framed canopy, no wheel bulges and standard wheels. Thanks, Tweener
Graham Boak Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 It has the engine with the original supercharger so has the original, smaller intake. The AS variant has the larger supercharger from the DB603 so needs the larger intake. It should also have a smaller oil cooler but I don't think it needs the additional bulge.

Graham, Looking at the Eduard instructions I'd gotten the impressions I needed the larger one and the additional little bulge on the right side fairing, so thanks for this! It'd of course help to have actual photos but I've yet to find a good source of post-war yugoslav pics so I'm unfortunately relying on the decal sheets themselves.
