newpiggypod1
Just got hold of this old kit for £1, it arrived today and i've started to re-scribe the panel lines. Does this kit need much more shapewise or is it ok
stever219
Outline accuracy could be better. Areas to address are the fuselage- side cable ducts (too skinny), main wheel doors (no dished inside surface), radome (too blunt), canopy (thick, poorly defined framing), undercarriage (basic) tailpipes (no detail whatsoever). Some of this can be addressed if you can find Aeroclub sets (canopy, radome, nose ring, tailpipes, undercarriage), main wheel doors (Matchbox), missiles (new Airfix F2A). Cable ducts should be based on the Matchbox or new Airfix kits and can probably be done using suitable half-round rod. I'm sure there's lots I've forgotten, but it's a start. Oh yes, te cockpit's just a hole and any resemblance between the seat and a Martin Baker Mk 4 is entirely accidental!
AnonymousAA72
This is a re-pop of Airfix's ca. 1960's F1a. The tool is pretty shot by now but with a lot of TLC it can be built into something half decent I addition to the other comments the fuselage has a strange kink in it just above the air brakes, and the wing tips probably a bit too rounded

Darth Vader
The figure of 8 rear fuselage starts too far forward.
