HaraldP.
Hello! I just wanted to share my Bf 109 E4 flown by Helmut Wick. I spent the Tamiya kit some Eduard photo etched parts for the cockpit. The kit itself was a real joy to build, but the painting required some patience, especially the mottling. I only have two photos for now but I will add some later.. Feel free to comment! Edited August 29, 2014 by HaraldP.
Parabat
That looks really good, what did you use to achieve the flank mottle?
Stew Dapple
Nice work Harald I'm sure that JG2 heavy stipple was invented to give post-war modellers eye-strain It was worth the time and effort you put into it though Cheers, Stew
HL-10
Nice work there, especially with the mottling
HaraldP.
Hello! Thanks for your comments. The mottling was done by using a mix of a Micro Brush and a shortened bristle brush. I just touched the surface lightly with a small amount of RLM 71 on the brush.

jean
The mottling makes this model! Great job, and very brave to tackle this specific machine. A beautiful build. JR

Algie75
This is really great work, I'm starting 2 72nd 109s at the moment, a Swiss Tamiya E3 and an Airfix Luftwaffe E4. When looking through the Battle of Britain references I run away from JG2 stuff. If I could do what you have I'd be really happy
