Tim Moff
OK we're done after 3 years! Not perfect, issues with joins and seams, but I think it looks ok. WiP on GB As one of 18 F-111s involved, 74-0177 flew with Jewell cell as JEWEL 63. Using its ‘Pave Tack’ Thermal Imaging/laser target acquisition, designation and tracking system, dropped its four laser-guided GBU-10C/B 907kg/2,000lb bombs on the Murat Sidi Balal terrorist training camp west of Tripoli that hit the Frogman Training Pool used for training terrorists in underwater sabotage. The intended target was missed by 100ft (30m) as it was obscured by the smoke of bombs dropped by another aircraft.
Tim Moff
OK we're done after 3 years! Same with the Raven - Not perfect, issues with joins and seams, but I think it looks ok. WiP EF-111A flew as 'HARPO 71' during Operation El Dorado Canyon, providing SEAD to the main bomber force on April 15th 1986
Tim Moff
I built another Monogram F-4D, in a bid to show how things have improved since my first build for many years, the F-4D Revell/Monogram! Both in Heath schemes, but hopefully I have improved a bit... Another F-15 GB coming up, along with an F-5 GB....plus we are now seeing F-35's at the Heath and kits being produced....just need the aftermarket decals... Meng kit: and review: https://www.scalespot.com/reviews/kits/f35a-meng/review.htm Kitty Hawk: Just need to wait for LN Decals....

Used to see them cruising around East Anglia in the late 80’s; the biggest badest mothers around. They all seemed to be crewed by guys with deep texas drawls as well. Envy? Yep. 1

rob Lyttle
Just wanted to enquire from you Lakenheath guys.... Is there any sign of a Lockheed T33 up there?? One used to be present at the Tangmere Museum that I liked a lot and used for a bit of reference. Then it was sold on, having no real meaning as such for the airfield history or locality. I was told that the USAF had taken her on for preservation, maintinance etc, historic interest, maybe gate guard..... Anyone seen or heard anything??

bar side
Nice D-Day scheme there Tim. I hear one of the three is still about. I saw the C model retirement scheme in its last week before heading off in April. Lots of impressive flying that week but I was too far away for good pictures But I did catch the RIAT scheme Saw her again down there yesterday. Always a good watch. This isn’t her but was just a quick catch on my phone Mind you the F-35s sound pretty good too

I have started going to the opposite end from the visitor car park which works well if they are going up from that end. Few for you Loads of launches with the Aviano F-16s, F-15Es, F-35s and a couple of Alpha Jets
