Flyingdutchman Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Ow no a modellers worst nightmare.... that's difficult to solve I think. Depending on how many layers you've spray you'll hav a chance that the new layers are different and so tiny level difference can be visible. I do hope you'll be able to fix it. This is a mean looking scheme on a great Mirage!!
LT Motta Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 (edited) What a shame exdraken... I'm pretty sure you will fix it! SHAR67 gave to you really good advises. Edited November 9, 2014 by LT Motta 1
exdraken Posted November 8, 2014 Author Posted November 8, 2014 thanks everyboy for you nice and helpful advice! How do matey if your using acrylic based paints then try adding a drop of cellulose thinners to the paint, it helps the paint to adhere to the the model. I use this method and I can't say I have ever had this problem, also try putting the masking tape on your forehead this helps take some of the stickiness from the tape hope this helps bud great looking Mirages both of them. Clive I am using Revell enamels, but maybe may masking film (also from Revell) was too sticky..... apart from handling it a lot during the painting process, I also let it on for quite some time (weeks,,,) sooo I think I am to blame ! next time I definitely will use a different masking tape (Tamiya tape e.g.)! I already repaired most of it, hope to take pictures soon! Thanks again for your kind words, AND keep in mind, it only a model!!
