Alpha Delta 210
Hi I am posting these pictures at the request of HOUSTON. I apologise for the picture quality, but it was a very dull, rainy afternoon! The CP-140 Aurora displaying at Little Gransden in 2011 was from 405 Squadron, which was a Lancaster Pathfinder unit based at RAF Gransden Lodge in WWII. After the display, the air and ground crew visited Great Gransden Church for a Service of Remembrance. There is a stained-glass window in the church to commemorate the 801 members of 405 Squadron who lost their lives in WWII. After the Lancaster display yesterday at Little Gransden, the formation overflew the site of the former RAF Gransden Lodge in tribute.

tonyot
Great pics,....the Aurora looks brilliant in that scheme and it was great that 405 Sqn RCAF sent it over to commemorate their predecessors in these money concious days! Cheers Tony
Alpha Delta 210
Thanks Tony. I agree about the scheme. I bought some decals from Canmilair with the intention of converting the Hasegawa kit, but haven;t got around to it yet!
Parabat
Brilliant pics, as Houston mentioned, very atmospheric in those low-vis greys. Top drawer

Alpha Delta 210
It was a great and moving experience, as I had never seen an Orion-type perform a full display before.
