Very cool work and one of the best looks for the Tornado as far as I'm concerned.

I like your display stand, but the effect of the frame reminds me of a swimming pool. I can almost visualize a bunch of freaked out 1/72 swimmers in there as the Tornado comes over. :wicked:

Thanks guys!

batcode - there's 12 photos posted on my site - ain't that enough? ;)

upnorth - yeah, I am aware of the framing confining the waters, but as this is now an office ornament, it was the easiest and most stable way to do it

The Tornado's soubriquet "Tonka" refers to the American Toy Truck company- popular in the UK when I was a lad in the early '70's.

Depending who you talk to, it refers to either the Tornado's tough, indestructible construction (Tough, tough toys for tough, tough boys etc.) or their insipid toy-like nature (Ditto) compared to the more robust types they replaced. (Phantom, Lightning, Buccaneer etc.)

Very nice indeed, this is a lovely scheme.

Like the vid clip at the bottom of your page with the additional pics, some really nice low passes, just the way the Tornado should be - fast and low!
