Doug Rogers
Perfect, thanks Mish.Hopefully we can get a good spread of Mk's and some Sea Hurricanes and maybe a prototype would be good. Bit of motivation for us : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=On-qpykn5k0#t=
rio
Got a Hinson wing conversion no I will save for the STGB.
Kallisti
I've got a Hasegawa 1:48 MK I and a IID in the stash. The IID will be a 5 Sqn one from Burma as part of my "Aircraft of my Father" project. Dunno if I can hold out on that build until 2016 but there may be enough other things in the meantime to keep me busy!
Mitch K
I feel another early mark coming on, probably in something other than RAF markings. Airfix will provide!
PlaStix
Great stuff!! Looking forward to this one!
Mitch K
Is there a banner for this? Had a quick look but failed to find anything...
Doug Rogers
Not yet Mitch, hopefully some of the Banner whizz kids can come up with something over the next 16 months or so. Might have a play myself, see what I can do.
-Neu-
Perfect, thanks Mish. Hopefully we can get a good spread of Mk's and some Sea Hurricanes and maybe a prototype would be good. I bought a nearby modeller's stash of hurricanes last year and got basically the entire spread of MKs in 1/72.This included a Hasegawa I, IIC and IID, and a Revell Sea Hurricane IIC and Hurricane IIB. I had a few others in my stash as well... like a Finnish example. So I can plug some holes if need be. I might also do another one of these... gingerbob
Well as long as I can find time in the schedule I have something special lined up for this one. Maybe... a Hurricane?! I've got quite the backlog of Hurris also, so one way or another (or more than one?) I'll be in. bob
AndyL
I'm certainly in. I'll utilise some of the log book extracts and unpublished photos I have to build a few new ones not seen on decals or issued with kits. Will be fun, this one. AnonymousDFB1
Maybe... a Hurricane?! I've got quite the backlog of Hurris also, so one way or another (or more than one?) I'll be in. bob Might be Bob, Actually I saw an canadian Mk. X with a Hamilton standard prop and no spinner, that would be an interesting one for someone to build. Doug Rogers
I think Ultracast do a prop for that in 1/48, certainly looks a little different. Found it; http://www.ultracast.ca/products/48/148/default.htm
Black Knight
Actually I saw an canadian Mk. X with a Hamilton standard prop and no spinner, that would be an interesting one for someone to build. I did this one earlier this year; I used a trimmed down prop from a B17 for it.
franky boy
Excellent idea! I'm in with a hasegawa iib, or maybe a sea hurricane iic, decisions decisions! Will probably have changed my mind completely be the time it comes round. James
Doug Rogers
Hi James, good to have you aboard. Plenty of time to decide which Hurricane tickles your fancy yet, maybe both?
Caerbannog
Err... 2016 is a leap year - so April 9th is a Saturday. AFAIK the GB's end on a Sunday so is this a mistake or on purpose Rene
franky boy
Hi Roger, good to be aboard. Building both has crossed my mind but I know with my slow build rate just one will be pushing it. James
tonyot
Pity we have to wait until 2016 for this one,.....I was hoping that it would be next year,.....oh well! Cheers Tony
Doug Rogers
Know what you mean Tony, I've just got another Airfix 1/48th kit to do now to sort of keep me going. Either going to do L1842 or a Dogfight Double with the Revell Ju88-A4 for the BoB GB...or maybe get another and try and do both.
Truro Model Builder
Well, this would provide me with a good reason to build Airfix's ragwing Mk.I, if I can go on the list? Ta.
