Rizon
A few pictures of my Chengdu F-7, in the colours of the Namibian Air Force for your perusal. This is the first model I build in quite a number of years. Also took me more than a year to complete. The model is loosely based on the Academy MiG 21 PF in 1/72 scale. I say loosely, because it involved quite a bit of plastic surgery to bring it to scale. Work in Progress here Comments and criticism welcome. And lastly, together with a Fujimi Mig 21 of the Angolan Air Force. that specific MiG 21 was the first of the type to set foot on Namibian soil when it executed a forced landing in the then Northern SWA. The original is now at the SAAF Museum at Zwartkops. R Edited August 11, 2014 by Rizon

MikeW
Great to see the bird finally done. I even started drinking Namibian beer during the course of this build. All that hard work sure paid off - looks great. Cheers, Mike

Rizon
I even started drinking Namibian beer during the course of this build. Well, that is one way of boosting export sales! Who said an airforce does not have a positive effect on the economy? Thanks for the comments everyone! R
redcap
You won't see many of those in a model collection! Refreshingly different and a very nice model. Gary

mitchem
I've been watching this one develop in WIP and I know a lot of hard work has gone into it. Pat yourself on the back - it's a cracking result.
Tin_Bitz
Now there is some thing that you don't see every day, I like it. Nice bud and colours
Rizon
As for the unusual topic - I somehow can not seem to get myself to build something mainstream out of the box. The next couple of projects lined up are in this line as well.... Cant wait :-) Again thanks for the comments. R
