1/48 - Lockheed F-104G Starfighter by Eduard (plastic Hasegawa) - RFA/NATO & JASDF released

I am sure the 1:48 F-104G will be a limited boxing like the F-14 with Hobby Boss plastic plus etch and resin pieces. So what I expect is the Hasegawa plastic parts with a resin nozzle, wheels and ejection seat; fabric seat belts and some photo etch frets and of course a decal sheet with 4 to 6 options (my vote: USAF Luke AFB, Canada NMF, Luftwaffe splinter, Marineflieger, Belgium, Netherlands) .

But 1:72 revolution??? I have no clue.

If Eduard do release a new tooled F104 starfighter would it be a multi tool kit to do all of the variants including the 2 seat and they seek the support of Daco "Danny C" for the correct info on the aircraft, then it will be a very good kit, however Rene may be more close to the mark as to what to expect of this kit prospect, as to colour schemes me personally, i prefer the retirement schemes bright and colourful.

It's indeed a Hasegawa rebox + Eduard's add ons

Next kit will be very interesting - another jet fighter in limited edition. This time it will be F-104 Starfighter in 1/48 scale. Kit itself will be taken from Hasegawa, while brassin add-ons will be produced by Eduard. Of course, it can be exhaust nozzle wheels and cockpit parts made of resin. Nobody will doubt that masks and PE from Eduard will be in the box. Another interesting feature is that G, S and J versions will be included, so we can expect plenty of marking options available.

In my (not always humble!) opinion, forget the Duduard rebox and go with the Gagawa last Starfighter boxing at LM http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=HSG%2009365 and the DACO improvement & correction set http://www.dacoproducts.com/KDCC4802.php

Marineflieger? DACO decals: http://www.dacoproducts.com/KAst16.php or Hahen decals: http://www.hahen.de/epages/64625185.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/64625185/Products/48030

on Christmas Eve I picked up the original Hasegawa "Vikings" boxing 104G from the US for............£9.50 :evil_laugh:

Yes....nice one....BUT how much was the shipping ?.......I 'm finding US shipping quotes plain ridiculous these days.....15 dollars for an A5 sized decal sheet....the sellers tell you that this is what the US postal companies charge but on those rare occasions when I do get something from the States the actual shipping charge seldom matches the amount charged ( even taking in to account a small fee for packaging).
