Right then, here's my intended:

North%20American%20XFJ-2%20Fury%20AP%20P

I'll be using the Hasegawa 1/48 F-86F, slats from a Revellogram F-86D, and possibly some few bits from an FJ-4. Or maybe I'll just have to fabricate the odds & ends... Anyone got a hangar queen ESCI Fury they'd be willing to salvage? (I'm in the USA, though.)

Nice. I remember this one being talked about in the Future Group Builds thread.

Thanks for remembering, Sean! I should point out that I don't expect to do the pose as shown, though it would be awfully nifty...

That would be quite the diorama!

Yep, sure will- I found that when I was doing the initial investigation, but thanks for bringing it up. I also have decals ready, thanks to... oh dear... Paul Boyer, I think! (Guess I'd better check my notes...)

Mozzy, the wheels are turning... Neglecting the greater problem of me finishing the kit period, I just might attempt something of the sort. It WOULD be a really nice way to show it.

I was at a show a while back, and someone had a 1/32 F-16 just pulling up the gear, with a section of runway (and beyond) as a base. Really nice, and then I wondered what that odd little something was- it was a grouse or quail just off the ground, fleeing for its life. That really took it beyond, to me!

Bob, very interesting project! I want to build a similar plane.
