thankyou;the heads up is very useful to me;being a stencil,i can also add a steyr 1500 and schwimmwaggen to my list,as 2 vehicles the division used,though the "heavy 18's"were horsedrawn right up to the end.though its an area for experts,i think this is the later divisional emblem ,as i think the original unit emlem was the ukrainian hetman's trident

No problem about the stencil find, they do look handy.

I've no info on this unit, other than what is found on the internet, so which symbol was used first I've no clue. There is this quick find on an axis forum stating, in regards to collar patches, that the lion was used and the trident appeared later, likely when the war ended and a new Ukrainian army was formed. Not sure if from this can be concluded what symbol appeared on their equipment.

i have a photo of my dad when he was training at nueuhammer;they have the ss deathshead on their cap,but the lion on their collar patches.
