TerryUK
Does anyone know where I can acquire decals for VMF-251 F-8 Crusader circa 1963? Thanks.

TerryUK
Hi, Sorry I`m looking for a friend, He did not specify a scale. I think he has been looking for a while and will buy the kit to suit the decal scale. I had a look with no luck. I`m starting to think he might need to get them made up. But any links would be a great help. Regards Terry

Hook
The only VMFA-251 Crusader markings I'm aware of are on an ancient Microscale 1/72nd sheet. Cheers, Andre
Julien
There is no kit for the F-8A and B which they flew. If your friend does not want the lightning bolt then some flew without this, just the DW code on the fin which would be easy to do. Otherwise there is nothing I believe apart from the sheet Andre mentioned. Julien

tempestfan
There is no kit for the F-8A and B which they flew. The Lindberg kit was of a -1 until the tooling was modified some time in the 80s or so. While a really old and undetailed kit, the shapes are not too bad, all in all. It has the bonus of the pilot being ejectable on his F-100-style seat
Hook
Also, there a couple of conversions floating around. You could even try sanding the front fuselage and wing hump, after backing them up with milliput, and replace the windscreen. HTH, Andre
