Bod
Hi, I was lucky enough to be at the RIAT airshow last weekend and was mightily impressed with the Belgian display F16 A , both the flying routine and the colour scheme. Now, Syhart do an excellent set of decals so I fancy a go at this, ideally in 1/72. However, I would also like to try the new tamiya F-16 kit but this is a C/J variant. Not being an expert on F-16's, are there any major external differences between the A and C variants, at least for an airshow display plane? Would I get away with it? charley420
Most noticeable is the drag chute housing, and I believe the Belgians run a different engine to the yanks. But someone more knowledgeable will be along soon.
Panoz
Revell F-16 MLU is what you need. http://www.revell.de/en/products/model-building/aircraft/military-modern/id/03980.html No modifications needed. And it's cheaper.
Bod
Good point panoz, I know the Netherlands display F16 that Revell currently produce is the MLU version. Is that 'mid-life update', in which case is this the A variant?
Panoz
Yes F-16A same as the display aircraft you want to do.
