Radleigh
Without doubt the star of the show for *me*. Even if that so called F-35 turned up, these would still win, hands down.I will be working through my photos this week, but was very eager to get the Su-22's done.... Hope you enjoy!Polish Air Force Su-22M4 RIAT 2014 by Totallyrad.co.uk, on FlickrPolish Air Force Su-22M4 RIAT 2014 by Totallyrad.co.uk, on FlickrPolish Air Force Su-22M4 RIAT 2014 by Totallyrad.co.uk, on FlickrPolish Air Force Su-22M4 RIAT 2014 by Totallyrad.co.uk, on FlickrPolish Air Force Su-22M4 RIAT 2014 by Totallyrad.co.uk, on FlickrPolish Air Force Su-22M4 RIAT 2014 by Totallyrad.co.uk, on FlickrPolish Air Force Su-22M4 RIAT 2014 by Totallyrad.co.uk, on FlickrPolish Air Force Su-22M4 RIAT 2014 by Totallyrad.co.uk, on FlickrPolish Air Force Su-22M4 RIAT 2014 by Totallyrad.co.uk, on FlickrPolish Air Force Su-22M4 RIAT 2014 by Totallyrad.co.uk, on FlickrPolish Air Force Su-22M4 RIAT 2014 by Totallyrad.co.uk, on FlickrNote the chute is open before touchdown!Polish Air Force Su-22M4 RIAT 2014 by Totallyrad.co.uk, on FlickrThanks for looking......... Natter
If you painted the underside of a model like that they'd all say you had over weathered it! Brill pics of cool cabs. F-35? Not just another grey jet, but a mighty white elephant.
Kiwidave4
Nice pics. The second one had my ancient brain a bit befuddled because of the extra wheels! Then I realised that there were two aircraft!
JeffreyK
Very nice!! I wish they had at least once flown the opposite pattern in their crowd fly-by's (i.e. a concave instead of a convex) so they'd shown us a topside view as well. I was really surprised how quiet they were though - you could hear the AB kick in with a clear snap at take-off, but overall it was more of a thundery rumble, no crackle of popping etc., much quieter than F/A-18 / F-16 / Typhoon... Nice pic with the deployed chute as well. Interesting how the chute made this loud "tooting" noise from flapping in the wind!
F-32
Without a doubt the hands down stars of the show. Lovely shots Rad.

JohnHull
Superb shots buddy, i couldn't get to close to the crowd line unfortunately but totally agree, they stole the show and by some way IMO Hats off to the Poles, they never let us down with Russian birds
Alpha Delta 210
Great pictures Radleigh. I look forward to seeing your next batch. The Fitters were great and I just don't understand why there are so many negative comments on the forum about RIAT. The show is as good as it gets in these austere times. Radleigh
Thanks for the kind words chaps... conditions wasn't the best on Sunday, with the Su-22's it was quite dull too, so a lot of fingering (ooh, err?!) to get the right exposure... Update time, some bits that departed to go else where... Alpha Delta 210
Great shots Radleigh. You obviously have quite a zoom to capture that range of images from one position! At one point on Sunday morning, I had my waterproofs on and had covered my cameras bag with its built in kagoule! I damaged a lens in the past due to water ingress, so kept my camera tucked away despite the chance of dramatic vapour shots.
JohnHull
Some more great shots buddy. Seen it many times already but the A400M never fails to impress, the Italians in their C27 aint bad either! Not sure if i want to stick some of my shots up now given these.... !

I damaged a lens in the past due to water ingress, so kept my camera tucked away despite the chance of dramatic vapour shots. Thanks mate, I use a Sigma 50-500 (the older non-OS version) But I've had it recalibrated so it's sharp right through the 50-500 range, so no need for any other lenses at an airshow for me now (during the flying anyway). I don't have a huge MP camera (1D Mk2 8.2mp) so cropping my images isn't really an option as it does limit you. The Italian Typhoon going up is right on the limit of the camera... so with that in mind, I got there extra early and got a good spot that I never moved from. As for the rain, my 1D is water sealed to a point, the lens I just try and keep covered as much as possible, but rain won't stop me photographing Some more great shots buddy. Thanks and don't be silly... I look forward to them! You mention the C-27J, I forgot to upload them last night! stevemk1
Hope you don't mind me adding to this, but there was a third Su-22 at Fairford with different nose art: Picture taken as it departed on Monday morning. Steve
