North American P-51D-20-NA Mustang


s/n 44-64386, 45th Fighter Squadron, 15th Fighter Group
South Field, Iwo Jima, June 1945


Named Stinger VII, this aircraft was flown by Major Robert W Moore. The following month, Moore assumed command of 45FS and ended the war with 12 victories, the highest scoring ace in VII Fighter Command.
