1:48 Westland Wyvern, Classic Airframes

Recommended Posts

Good day all!

Here is my take on the Classic Airframes Westland Wyvern. She is representing 827 NAS on HMS Eagle. Built straight from the box with only a couple of wire aerials added as an extra. I airbrushed with Model Master Acrylics with a matt coating and wash from my own concoction with a bit of pastel weathering. Overall I am quite happy with the effort, no real headaches or disasters. Next up for the bench is to finish the CA Attacker to go with the collection. Apologies for the poor picture quality!

I do like the sleek lines of the nose!

And here she is nestling into the rest of my growing Fleet Air Arm collection

Not something one sees everyday. Like the stains aft of the drainage tubes, er, exhausts.

(Nice looking Austrian Airbus below too )

Cheers,

Mike

Congratulations Bob, she looks the part, the Wyvern wasn't the worlds best looking torpedo bomber but it was the worlds fist tubine powered.
