claudius Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 I am looking forward to get this kit. SB-2 is something I've always found extremely interesting. Wanna build one of Republican Spanish AF.

Bonehammer Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Looks like they've corrected the oval shape of the engine radiators. Way to go!

mhaselden Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Oh me, oh my! That looks rather tasty. Had a soft spot for the SB-2 ever since I found a Novo kit of the type in a newsagents while on holiday as a nipper (picked up a Skua by the same manufacturer at the same time - and have been fond of that type ever since, too!). Looking forward to this being officially released in hopes I can put the recent purchase of the excellent monograph by Mikhail Maslov ("Tupolev SB") to good use!
Bonehammer Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Doubleplusgood news as the company website had been inactive for a while and I was fearing the worst.
Jinxman Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 That looks fantastic - but can I bear to part company with the MPM vacform that's in the stash?
Bonehammer Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 That looks fantastic - but can I bear to part company with the MPM vacform that's in the stash?I have three if that's any consolation - one started, with scratchbuilt wheel well detail and reworked air intakes. I'm all for giving old kits a chance, but in some cases - such as the mpm vac - finiteness of human lifespan enters the calculation.
Homebee Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 (edited) Release expected now for April-May 2017. To be followed. Source: https://www.facebook.com/redstarscalemodels/photos/a.359781114147077.1073741826.359771370814718/641683072623545/?type=3&theater Quote And finally for the evening, we did get some information about the next items coming from Bobcat. Next will be the Yak-28PP - the electronic warfare variant - as depicted here. This is slated for April release. Also the Tupolev SB that many have asked about is still on the way and slated for the April/May time frame. So lots to look forward to! V.P. Edited April 8, 2021 by Homebee

kotey Posted January 11, 2019 Posted January 11, 2019 Good news, after this we can upscale our 1/72 decal to 1/48.
Harold55 Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 This is great news. I built their Il-4T model and really enjoyed it and will definitely add this no my stash.
Rakovica Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 I apologize for resurrecting the old thread, but wth happened to this one? 🤔🙁
dragonlanceHR Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 It went the way of Dodo. Maybe we could persuade ICM to try one in a few years?
Wojtek2 Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 Well, one can only hope the molds weren't scrapped. Were the sales results of the Il-4 and Tu-2 models so poor that it was not worth starting the production of SB-2 from already made toolings?
