Rabbit Leader
Fleet - by most accounts, I think we should expect the Mk.IV some time in September. It appears that a few of Airfix's releases have slipped by a month or two this year, so perhaps it may be a short while later. Cheers.. 593jones
Me too and the big H have run out and not another model shop for miles! Mind you, I've got no where to assemble or paint anything at the moment - the downside of moving! thanks Mike Try Hattons, excellent service. Ordered two on Tuesday, delivered today! Got several more new kits on pre-order from them. Good value and great service. Dave p.s. I don't work for them! dfqweofekwpeweiop4
Try Hattons, excellent service. Ordered two on Tuesday, delivered today! Got several more new kits on pre-order from them. Good value and great service. Dave p.s. I don't work for them! I know Hattons, I used to live about a 25 min drive from them. There's not much point in me ordering from them, I'll just wait and add one to one of our Hannants trade orders when they have it back in stock. It would have been nice to actually look at the thing in the flesh first! thanks Mike
alpine_modeller
I got mine from Hattons yesterday. When did Airfix give up on spinny wheels, propellers and turrets ?
Graham Boak
Presumably when they stopped doing new WW2 toolings, in the 1980s. However, I wouldn't recognise that many of their kits had "spinny wheels".
Stew Dapple
I got mine from Hattons yesterday. When did Airfix give up on spinny wheels, propellers and turrets ? I think if attached with care the props will still be spinny, possibly if you don't glue the turret that would be spinny too but you would be unable to execute any negative-g manoeuvres for fear of it falling off . As for the wheels, they will not be spinning, no chance sorry. Cheers, Stew
Paul J
Collected mine from Jason of LSA at club last night. Interesting the use of a common sprue and the inclusion of the Mk IV nose but not the glazing..naturally.

Vulcanicity
With enough micro-engineering, ANYTHING can be made spinny! (Mind you, getting the turret on the MPM Defiant to rotate was about the limit of my skills...
John
I got mine from Antics in Cardiff on Wednesday and I've only had the chance for a quick look but first impressions are certainly good. John

Just getting the MPM Defiant turret to fit into the fuselage is quite an achievement in its own right.
