Crack on then GrahamS, strangely there have been no bidders yet !

I was waiting for a few more bids so that I could pay more. :)

I've got a bit of dirt that fell off the rear tyre of the Batmobile when it was driving in the parade at Beaulieu a few years back......

Yours for only £5,000........

Mind you - it reminds me of the guy who was trying to sell a small bottle of 'Air from Michael Jackson's dressing room - he will have breathed it'......

It was on Ebay about 8-9 years ago. Starting bid was $1000.

Not TOO sure if it sold...............

Or the bloke that was selling a jar of(allegedly)Schumacher's Ferrari's exhaust fumes.........

The UFO model had 16 paddles.

16 X £950 =£15,200

If a restored prop model sold for £15,000, then the model should be worth more broken down into its component parts!

I'd love to own an original prop, but those prices are just out of reach (and £950 for a small paddle is ludicrous!)

I wasn't justifying it or otherwise, just pointing it out.

As long as it has a true provenience, I venture it will have piqued the interest of a number of movie/tv buffs. The angle they will take, will be the kudos of owning a part of an original prop,

Yes, but only part... If it was a complete prop (if any survived), there might be a point to it, but one of 16 on the model? At that price? That's gouging, pure and simple, and one can only hope that no-one will take the seller up on it. Talk about having more money than sense...
