1970 F1 Season in scale 1/20th

Recommended Posts

I was going to ask if these were the images you were planning to recreate in 1/20th scale and as I read the comments, they are 1/20th scale already. Wow!

Hi all,

during the last weeks I have updated my homepage (Photobucket and old links does not work) with
a lot of new photos, specially MFH/Ebbro kits in 1/20th and "Miscellaneous". Please note some
models built appr. 45 years ago and so some yellowed decals are allowed

Have a lot of fun.

Epic stuff there - from the first year I was able to go to the British GP.

Some from early 70s, as well as 1970, but they're all cracking models.

Lotus 72 - one of my favourite cars ever.

Two Rob Walker Lotus for Graham Hill.

that Matra, wasn't that what Jackie Stewart drove in 1970?

Jackie Ickx Ferrari.

McLaren, just after they lost Bruce - one with wings, one without.

Lotus Turbine,  I think that was a year or so later - never drivable enough to be truly competitive.

Is that yellow one a March 701?

Martini Brabham, can' t out a year in that.

Thanks for taking me back - they're all,   I'm lost for superlatives.

Edited.   Just spotted the Yardley BRM - had my photo taken in a P160 back in the day.

And Emerson's Copersucar,

Hand Stuck's March, and is Campari a Penske?  -  can we see close-ups of those as well????????I

And is that James Hunt' s McLaren lurking just off-shot.

We NEED more photos.

That is bloody brilliant John and I apologies for the expletive. I am just bowled over by their amazing lifelike and realistic qualities. 1970 is the year that I was born and I am seriously contemplating building one of these Ebro Lotus 72's as part of my "In the year I was born" GB. I've never built a car before, so cannot expect to achieve anything like that sort of quality, however all these cars on this grid are just beautifully presented. Thanks for the additional inspiration.

Cheers.. Dave

That looks like a lifetime's work in all those models!

They are superbly built and finished.

I too thought we were looking at reference photos of the real thing at first - they're that realistic!

I hate to sound old, but I honestly believe the cars of that era were much more beautiful than todays multi-appended monstrosities.

:goodjob:
