Hi everybody!

This is my next model. I chose the color scheme of this legendary aircraft, which refers to the period of German troops landing on the Greek island of Crete in May 1941. The operation called "Mercury". Because I did not have ready decals - all the markings and letter codes was made from paint using airbrush.

Can you open the door so that I can climb upto the cockpit

and take it for a ride????.

Very nice.

:) Tomorrow I'll start another "Tante Yu", this time from Italeri. There I'll use the "Bilek" set of photoetched parts - then welcome aboard! :bye:

Guys, thank you for your comments! You're really inspire me!

Good evening Fuad

Another beauty, there is no need not to use decals and use paint instead, I already knew how good you are there is no need to make me feel even more inadequate !

Seriously though if you can get the out of the box Heller kit to look this good the next one with photo etch parts will be truly amazing.

Are you making the float plane version of the Ju52 to stop your BV222 being lonely ?

Cheers Pat

Good day, Pat

I used to paint for markings because, you know, it is very difficult to weld decals on the corrugated surface. Besides - I did not have the relevant letter codes). And you right guessed it - I'll do the marine version of "Tante Ju".

I note, that the version from the Heller is more correctly on the geometry and matching to prototype. Version from Italeri is actually a toy, than really model.

Again, a nicely detailed and beautifully finished kit, as we've come to expect from you!

I am truly amazed by the standards you provide with your model kits.

I know the Heller kit, have tackled it myself years ago, but with a far less appealing result.

It seems as if you have modelling superpowers - does it come from that colorful stuff in the plastic box?

As usual you have produced a really wonderful model from a very basic kit. Like others, I am in awe of your paint finishing skills.

:) I do not know what to answer :hmmm:. I draw inspiration from your works and from the history of this famous aircrafts. And for each model I read and watch all the material which can only be found. After all, we call this hobby: Historical and technical stand modelism :).

For this model I used follow books:

1. Bernard & Graefe - Vom Original zum Modell - Junkers Ju-52 Militaerversionen

2. Flugzeug Profile 24 - Junkers Ju 52

3, WW2 Combat Aircraft Photo Archive 01 - Junkers Ju-52/3m

4, Junkers 52 in actions, Aircraft nuber 186 (squadron/signal publication)
