Pete in Lincs
Here we go with some more pics. I'll start at the stern with the thrusters And a view down the Port side. Note the spoiler is deployed. That's what those brackets were for. Here's a look at the other side of the spoiler. Guess what it was before.... You can also see the oil drum collection. I made a cargo net. Here is Radar from the MASH Helicopter set. Now remotely controlling the crane. You may be wondering what the red thing is. It sort of build itself. I can show you what it was. Still no wiser? The cap from a British airways toothbrush! Plus tank bits of course. As for what the red thing does. Fuel/oil/air/power (choose your favourite) for the flier And here's another shot of the flier on the deck. I think this is pretty much done now. I added the oil drums & a few more boxes since the earlier pictures but I'm running out of deck room. And things will just be hidden in the hold. I hope you've enjoyed the pictures as much as I enjoyed the build. I'll have to go to ready for inspection now. Any comments or questions are always welcome. And my thanks to Chris in Belfast & Fichten Foo/Industria Machanica in the States for the inspiration.

Pete in Lincs
Thanks guys. I'll post more on the ready for inspection thread shortly. Meantime, Check your spares boxes. Have a go. This is infinitely more fun than building out of the box. Though, In a way, It is building outside the box! Pete
Madhatter
How in the heck did I miss this gem?!?!?!? This is brilliant!!! I always appreciate a good scratch build and you have given me some great ideas for future builds. Your trick with the shoe polish is great - especially now that I see what kind of effect you can get from it. Just a shame I don't own any brown polish so it'll be off to the super market to grab some. I am looking forward to seeing more of your work Pete. However, you can keep your 43o days, I prefer to be cold and warm up than hot and try to cool down. Si
