GWH Mig-29 Limited Edition

Was having a look at what info is available about the Great Wall Mig-29 Limited Edition release. Does anyone know what the extra resin parts are? It looks like its the red parts shown on the advert below and is possibly lumps and bumps for the fuselage. I was hoping its going to be the raised antenna/sensor as seen on Polish Mig-29 just in front of the canopy.

an additional question, does anybody know if the new tooled pylons and tanks (effectifly a little bit longer) and the new lower fuselage are includeed in this release?

Thanks!

I would imagine it will include the new pylons and tanks as these were corrections to the early releases.

Wonder if there will be more of these limited releases with specific markings? I went to get a 9-12 late kit but don't know if I should hold off or not!

It has been my long experience in this hobby that if you see something you want and have the money in hand, BUY IT NOW. Otherwise you will either be disappointed because it will no longer be available, or if it is, it will be MUCH more expensive than it is right now.

I suspect, given the timing of release of this re-issue that it does indeed contain the new corrected parts for the '9-12 Late'….AFAIK the only GWH kits issued with 'defective' parts were the original issue MiG 29 9-12 'Late Type' with, amongst other choices, Syrian Air Force markings. The second release '9-13' is of course quite different and the most recent 9-12 'Early Type' can either be finished as an Early or Late variant as the necessary parts for both variants are included.

HEALTH WARNING: This is a personal view - I've no doubt the usual protagonists will have a slightly different view based on the kits providence, since it hails from one of those manufacturing nations that form part of the 'Axis of Inaccuracy and Unbuildability'.

I'll confirm the kit contents when my order arrives unless another kind soul beats me to it….

What the gentleman from GWH/Lionroar with whom I correspond told me (in his broken English, which is still better than my Chinese) is that all current and future releases of their kits will have the corrected parts in them. That applies to the MiG-29 and the F-15.

I might also add that GWH is virtually alone among kit manufacturers in enthusiastically accepting constructive criticism and actually doing something about it (without feeling the need to insult their customer base with silly cartoon rabbits). That fact alone should encourage people to give them their business. And their forthcoming kits will be subject to much more stringent pre-mold cutting QC in order to try to avoid errors from happening in the first place. They are (as are we all) mere human beings however, so undoubtedly there will still be errors.

The kits arrived at my LHS over the last weekend. I can confirm that the retooled parts are indeed inside.
