Tamiya Chieftain converted into a MK11

Recommended Posts

So I've been tidying up the paint work, a bit more fading out

of the green and some subtle changes to the black. It needs a

bit more work but its slowly getting close to where I want it.

Detail painting has started, the BCF Extinguisher's are the wrong shade of green

and will require painting, they should be British racing Green or bronze green.

Enjoy

The TOGs sight lens was done using MIG Crystal Clear.

AK mud effects sprayed over the running gear, these will get the pigment treatment as well.

Thanks Matt.

So some pigment work on the running gear,

And some resin cast lens used for the headlights

I've also used for the first time the new MIG Crystal Acrylic colours and I'm impressed,

Clear over black for the TOG's lens and the same for the inner IR headlights, the red was used for the rear stop lights and the reflector disc's. Green will be

used for the periscopes.

Track time, first time using this stuff, would I use it again... Probably not.

AK track fluid, I had to use the whole bottle to get these to this state, you might be able to get two sets

on a small tank but bigger stuff is pushing it.

This is the result of two applications.

Good enough for the base to start the weathering.
