Avgas
Looking good! Not the easiest paint job with the blending, but so rewarding if you pull it off. You're doing a lovely job so far
exdraken
sooooo: masks are OFF! partly some chipping paint where the exhaust will finally be, the gold color is mechanically very soft.... but now without any masks: last one of many: looks quite spectacular and the mask went without trace and damage!!!! regards, Werner

exdraken
finally I had the ba**s to put on the decals, at least I started! here some late evening photos, decals went on splendid till now! Syhart is a master of his own..... wonderful! see your self: of course I had to do it the more difficult way in dropping the leading edge slats.. but for now it seems to work just fine!
Flyingdutchman
What an incredible build, you really get close to the real one. Were the big decals easy to put on? The Mirage itself is very nice and with this scheme it's even nicer.
exdraken
@ Flyingdutchman: thanks for the (early) laurels! for now I did not run into troubles with the decals, not even with the big ones. They conform very nicely without any decal solution, the are not too thin and not too thick and not brittle.... patience is certainly needed! its not just roundels to put on some sunshine underside pics with full decal outfit: started on the top side last night: thanks for watching!

Graeme H
Well that is beautiful, what a great scheme When I saw the first photo, I thought it was the real thing, until I saw the giants hand in the next 2 photos
exdraken
some more evolution of the tight top side: these are quite some big decals to place! but they conform very very well and apart from patience... and in some evening light: additionally i will use the 30,, DEFA canons provided by the Renaissance models F1 upgrade kit: they look very nice and detailed: her already with a coat of paint: cheers, Edited October 17, 2014 by exdraken
Flyingdutchman
I like it. The color of the radome it looks a bit greenish but that could be just the picture. In real life it a shade of gray. Evert

exdraken
so hopefully the last update! all antennae, tits and bits are mounted, including the refuling probe which did not really want to stay in place... only after lots of cursing and finally patience and only very little superglue it stayed were supposed to.... bad wheight distribution and no positive locking may be to blame and better weather!! :) only the Aires closed i.e. no afterburner - dry thrust -exhaust nozzle is still missing... hopefully no surprises there!
