Have you heard from the seller ? Apparantly he had problems finding my address. may be worth messaging thruough e-bay to check

I haven't heard anything from him yet.  I was holding off on asking him questions since several of his feedbacks say something along the line of "I asked him where it was, he cancelled my order" and I reeeeally want this helicopter!

Of course, that begs the question - how politely did they ask?

But it is probably time to politely inquire about how things are going.  Thank you for the suggestion.  🙂

Thus far no model and no response, but I haven't received an "order cancelled" notice either.  So I remain in limbo!

Am I understanding this correctly? An online seller doesn't deliver orders, doesn't advise customers about delays to orders and doesn't respond to queries about delayed orders unless, in some cases, it's to cancel placed orders when customers query the long delays? I have a view...

I placed an order in December and was expecting delivery sometime in January as per info on Ebay. I know this is not always accurate, then seeing others were experiencing delays I waited. Yesterday evening 23:41 Texas time (05:41 UK time this morning) I messaged the seller this is t

 

"Hi a.m.c17,
I purchased a 1/72 AgustaWestland AW139 in December 12th 2024 (order # ***********). I know it takes time to manufacture these kits and was wondering where I am is in your production line and when I might expect it to be shipped?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards"

This morning I received a reply at 02:26 (08:26 UK time) which said

 

"Hello
eBay erase all m'y transaction...
And i im never payed for this order.
But you have payed and i'm not a stoller.
Tel me your adresse
Name , nicknam
Phone number

I send in this week one aw139.
9 order was loose buy eBay....
Thx for your time and sorry for that.
(And sorry for mine english, i'm a frog eather 😁,,)."

 

I have replied to this and hopefully the kit will be sent.

 

This all sounds off. I don't wish to push the matter further just yet as I do want the kit and don't want to interfere with others on this forum who are also waiting. However, once the kit arrives I will be taking up the matter further for what its worth.

I’m actually gonna stick up for him here. Yes, I’m pretty frustrated that my order has been waiting for around four months now. However, about a month ago, I did get a tracking number, which was showing departed from France for about three weeks. On Wednesday it showed as having been returned to the sender, and when I get home, I need to respond to him confirming my address again. He seems to have good intentions but perhaps finds Shipping internationally a bit of a challenge.

Colin @Philly1860, the fact that you got a response is a positive sign.  Combined with @JagRiggers input,  I'm willing to give the guy some leeway and see if we can work this out amicably and still get our models.  

If ebay dropped the ball on this, it would be unfair to take it out on him, so......

 

I'll send him another message and see if I get a response this time.

 

I did look for the ebay sale page that we all bought from, it is gone, but so are the links to other purchases I made either side of it (before and after), so nothing suspicious about that.  

All I have to go on is the entry from my purchase history.  I'll look for the entry in Paypal, which is how I paid.

Well my 3d printed one finally pitched up from France - and it was worth the wait ! Superb detail. It’s cabin is configured for SAR so I’ll have to do a bit of fettling for commercial, but if you want SAR, it’s even got a choice of hoists and snowshoes.

Good to see it's arrived, looks really great.

As for ebay stuffing up, I bought something from Poland at the end of last year. Heard nothing for 3 weeks so chased the seller. Apparently ebay had not notified him of the sale or the payment. He got onto it straight away and I had it within the week. I had something similar a few years back.

Mmmmmhh, the crease going across the baggage door is suspicious, the baggage door is completely flat (I open and close it every day).

The fuselage should be slab sided and the crease should run lower and the baggage door lower edge should be higher.

Well spotted that man - There's enough thickness to lose the crease, but of course there should be one at the bottom of the door / top of the float. Will probably 'lose' the one on the door and see if not moving it down looks too horrendous. Need to compare with the 1:1 scale when I get a chance. ( model is in the queue so it can wait )

The seller of these kits has proven himself an honourable gentleman.

Once I successfully contacted him, he explained that there had been some foul up with fleabay, and the information for a bunch of his orders had disappeared.  I provided him with the information on my purchase and my address, I received a shipping number forthwith.

 

The kit arrived today, and I am very impressed, it looks splendid.  Well worth the wait actually.
