Phil Podmore
Hi Guys, I'm calling the Airfix 109E3 in 1/48 complete Yellow 64, flown by Adjutant aviator de reserva Tiberiu Vinc, Grupul 7 vanatoare, Stalingrad 1942/1943 I've gone to town on the weathering, as the photos I've got of contemporary airframes look battered! I've using various techniques and tools, with some new AK pigments. I hope you like her!

rmcclure
Very well done indeed. That weathering looks spot on to me and very realistically done. Cheers, Roger
Alan Kelley
Phil- you have beaten me to it, lol. I bought this kit with the intention of doing the Trop version, until I copped an eye on the Romanian decals. Great work- even more tempted to do it now I have seen yours
bunnylurve
Mate, that's some sterling work you've put into that build. Great weathering. Me like.
One-Two
Very nice build. Like it also. Tiberiu Vinca's airplane was, as far as I know, quite a weathered machine. Maintenance was a very difficult task during the Stalingrad campaign....so your interpretation for this aircraft is very plausible. All the best, Edited May 15, 2014 by One-Two
