SeaVenom
About time Revell did this as it would be a great kit otherwise....... http://ideas.revell.de/ideas/item/3929/
Albeback52
I can live with the existing kit. Rather have a Halifax B III!!! Allan
Test Graham
The problem is the sheer number of things wrong with this kit. Pretty well everything from the wingroot outwards other than overall wing shape, with some (though fairly minor) faults inboard of that. I honestly don't see Revell retooling it to make corrections. If they did re-release it with the appropriate mods as a B Mk.III/VI/VII this would pick up most, but still leave the too-wide nacelles, undersized ailerons and wheels for starters. chaddy
Well I'll settle for them issuing the Tollerton fairing that was shown on the very first sprue shots.

Murdo
I see they've drastically improved what was a very annoying website. It took forever to open a page and took you back to the beginning every time you voted for something.
tonyot
I`ve voted,......but l`d be happy with new wings and engines for a Hercules engined variant,....although the Tollerton fairing would be nice too.

They might do that anyway but I think fixing the errors would be a great start.
Albeback52
I think Aeroclub used to produce a Tollerton nose fairing at one time. What put me off buying of course was the fact it was a vac form transparency!! I absolutely HATE those things!! I had hoped that Airfix would retool their Halixax BIII so, it was a bit of a disappointment to learn that they were simply reissuing their tired old 1961 veteran!! However, in lieu of a decent new BIII, I'm going to see if it's feasible to use the wings/engines of the Airfix kit with the Revell fuselage/tail.. With luck, I might be able to shoehorn the Revell kit undercarriage into the Airfix wings as well. Allan
SeaVenom
I don't like the BIII but I wouldn't be surprised to see Revell do it. Especially as some of the parts of the current kit (like the prop blades) would be more accurate to the BIII.

Allan Tony OT did the Revell Fuselage, Airfix wings very successfully a couple of years ago, thread is on here somewhere. The lovechild is a fairly straight forwards build, I did the same using the Matchbox wings and a Revell fuselage. You can use the Airfix undercarriage too, no reason to try to wedge the Revell ones in as the wheels are too small anyway The old Aeroclub Tollerton nose doesn't fit the Revell fuselage unfortunately, I did have a chat with John Aero about making a new nose at the Huddersfield show. I've still got plans to make a former for a crash built Tollerton, but real life has been getting in the way this year.
SeaVenom
They'll probably do the BIII anyway which is why it's a good reason for Revell to correct the kit as they can then redo things like the small wheels.

They look ok on the completed model (I've built two already) & that suits me. The Revell undercarriage is much better detailed though so I reckon it will be worth trying to adapt the Airfix wing to accept it. My summer project! Keep me busy through the long, dreich "summer" days Allan
XV571
I have Woody's thread bookmarked for when I get round to doing the same Revell/Airfix kitbash.
