Having discovered the joys of micro polish compound is there a cheap alternative for plastic (not just canopies)?

you can use polish used for car paints, I use it both for plastic and canopies and see no real difference with polishing compound .

Try tooth paste

Hob bright hob cleaner.availabe from most supermarkets and its especially good at polishing canopies when followed by tcut

[goggsy]

Greygate plastic polish, as used on real aircraft canopies. Turpentine based so be careful and sparing in its use.
