Enzo the Magnificent
Next one! Another Sword kit, this time with resin and photoetch This is a superb kit. I shall be building it as the box art option from VF-11 Red Rippers aboard USS Kearsage in 1952.
Enzo the Magnificent
The cockpit is made up of a plastic tub which is clad with photoetch to make a very convincing assembly. Components ready to go together. The intakes are resin with a very nice representation of the engine face in each one. Not shown are the other ends of the engines, also in resin. This one won't be a tailsitter! The cockpit sealed up. Wings ready to be fitted. Main assembly complete.
Troffa
Nice work Enzo. I have an academy boxing of the banshee, might go and hunt it out.
Enzo the Magnificent
I have an academy boxing of the banshee, might go and hunt it out. I believe that the Academy kit is of the F2H-4, which was stretched. You can build it in Canadian colours.
Troffa
I'll have a look, I've a bit of a soft spot for the Banshee, read "Bridges at Toko ri" as a youth, the film adaptation does a very good job but used Panthers in the role. Looking forward to seeing your one completed.
Enzo the Magnificent
I've a bit of a soft spot for the Banshee Hardly surprising! The aircraft is just so cool. It has swept forward wings!
jean
Your build will be interesting to follow. I have an Academy kit as well, but it is pretty basic and I lack documentation on this aircraft. So I haven't dared touch it yet! The Sword boxing definitely looks far more user friendly. Good luck! JR
