AMK 88004 1/48 Fouga CM.170 Magister Developing Processes

Recommended Posts

It is just simply to show how AMK develop model kits. The 10 processes are listed below:

1. Information Gathering.

2. 3D Design.

3. Sprue Design/Mould Layouts.

4. Mould Design.

5. Mould Making.

6. Plastic Testing.

7. Box Design.

8. Manual Design.

9. Decal Design.

10. Professional Review.

Pictures of each process will come correspondently................

Interesting indeed.

One comment, every engineering management system I've had to use has had multiple review steps along the design process. Even when we only need 1 review process, for a simple desigin, it's never the last process.

Very interesting so far. Looking forward to seeing more on the tooling development, as an ex tool maker and current cnc machinist, I find this side of it rather interesting.

Matt.

Loveley, thank you for posting, can't wait. Hope it is readily available in the UK shortly. I have had to get both my L-29 and Kfir from Hong Kong and both got hit by the Royal Mail rip off. Any idea of likely price please?

Cheers

Chris

Interesting but I think that the 3D design phase should be split in two.

1) overall shape (main dimensions, proportions, placements of elements relative to others, etc)

The "skeleton", the basic model has to be declared ok first.

2) details and parts design: what has been posted already

Another question.

How do you decide on the subject in the first place

We may decide internally, but also have opinions from modellers.

You got some suggestions for us?
