hoppie
I am currently working on a Ta 152 C model and while researching found that the cowl flaps are peculiar in their shape. So off to google I went and I found pictures of the db-603 in the Daimler Museum in Stuttgart (of all places, that is about 30 minutes from where I live). Now, the sources I have say that the engine in the museum is displayed with the cowl of a do-335, but on closer inspection of various photographies, the cowl in the museum does not look like a do-335 cowl, it looks much more like a ta 152 c cowl. The first image I link to is of a do-335 cowl. http://wwiimodeller.co.nz/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/057.jpg These two pictures are of the engine in Stuttgart, quite different, for example there seems to be an iregularity on top. Maybe the gunthroughs of the 152, the do-335 did not have those. The cowl flaps are different too, much wider and with the upwards angle wich coresponds with drawings of the 152. http://www.aircraftengine.cz/Stuttgart/slides/Daimler-Benz%20DB%20603%20%283%29.jpg http://www.aircraftengine.cz/Stuttgart/slides/Daimler-Benz%20DB%20603%20%2812%29.jpg So, does anyone know more about this? Is this actually a Ta 152 C cowl?
The wooksta V2.0
I'd say it's a Ta 152 cowl - the radiators are in the sides.
