Hockeyboy76
Hello again fellow modellers. After what I think is a success on my 1/144 what if 617Sqn TSR2 (posted in RFI ( unashamed plug!)) it's time for a change.I have never built anything maritime before & decided this kit is a good starting place. It will be a straight OOB build but I will give it a what if paint job.So far the hull & torpedoes are glued together.Pictures to follow. Hockeyboy76
As promised here are some pictures. Having a few fitment issues with the tanks, cuts not deep enough in them to fit to side. Have taken to shaving off the rims on the tub. Torpedoes glued & ready for sanding. Thanks for looking
Hockeyboy76
As I said having a few issues with the fit. Finally managed to get the tanks on the side. Now some filling to cover the gaps. Also fitted left side torpedo pylons & runner along side of tub. Managed to snap it during sanding?!! Oh well all glued in place now. Hopefully will get to work on right side tomorrow. Sgt.Squarehead
As I said having a few issues with the fit. It's an ex-ICM kit.....Think poor fit comes as standard in those.
Hockeyboy76
Update. All glued together, filled, sanded, primed & first coat of Tamiya NATO Black sprayed on. Now comes the fun part of masking it up for my experimental camo.
