SaintsPhil
Very nice, what was the kit like to build? I quite fancy one but can't decide what scale to go for...
Wolwe82
thats great, i like what you did with the edges all around the plane, it looks nice and breaks the surface, without making it looking weird. Is it drybrushed or just polished ? Great job anyway
Aimee'sDad
Excellent finish. Gloss black isn't the easiest to work with.

Bri48
Cheers all for your comments.... @ SaintsPhil, Hi Phil, I bought the kit quite a long time ago, probably when Hasegawa first brought it out (1/72) and most likely then at a reasonable price, i'm not sure what they cost nowadays. Anyway it went together very well and pretty straight forward with no difficult problems encountered. I've built 3 of these "stealths" one in each scale and the one I enjoyed most was the Tamiya 1/48 version, again I bought it at a reasonable price - I think from Wonderland some years ago. @ Wolwe82, Hi there, on all black finishes I tend to break up the surface with a dry brush of Rub & Buff, it's very easy to apply, all three above have been done the same way - Silver paint will be just as good I imagine. I then overcoat with a matt varnish as applicable. Sometimes also, I apply a very thinned down coat of the original colour (matt), lightened or darkened at various parts of the model just to give it some differences in colour shade. mcdonnell
Hello,Bri48 - My compliments to you on a great looking build of your 'F-117'.I love the quality and detail of the paint and finishing work. The subtle highlighting of the airframe edges and engine intakes is most effective.Sadly I couldn't see all the photos but those I could show a fine tribute to this aircraft. All the best,Paul.
