1/72 Revell Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-10

Recommended Posts

Dear fellow modellers,

this is Revell's 1/72 Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-10 with upgrades from Quickboost (Propeller, Air Intake), Eduard (Photo Etch), Rob Taurus (Vacu Canopy) and Eagle Cals (Decals).

There are some colour pictures of this particular machine, which crash-landed behind American lines in 1945. The camoflage looks like RLM74/RLM75, but with reduced 'red' factor (as seen in Kagero's "Bf-109 G/K Vol.1") it could as well be RLM75/RLM83, which I chose.

According to Eagle Cals, this aircraft belonged to I./JG52.

The model was painted with Gunze/Mr.Hobby colours with my Evolution airbrush.

I decided to build this kit before AZ Model's new 109-series is expanded to the G-10. Otherwise, it would have probably been sleeping in my stash forever (a shame with all the aftermarket sets obtained already).

Hi Roman, I really like your work on the 1.72 scale kits. Your aircraft as well as your armour are very subtely painted and weathered. :wow:

Beautiful camo and realistic weathering! Top class.

But you didn't bother to fill in that row of spurious holes on the engine cover just in front of the air intake. ;-) They are a misunderstanding by the toolmaker – remnants of an indication of where the 'bulging' ends, on a sideview drawing (I've forgotten by whom, maybe John Beaman?).

Lovely work, looks like 1:48th!

Kind regards,

Joachim

*DOH* !

wow that is seriously good.

Clean and dirty at the same time...if you know what I mean.

Great skills and finish at any scale but particularly at 1:72

Cheers!

I've commented before but had to some back for a second look.

It is brilliant....and your crisp photography enhances the build and takes it to another level.

One of my favourites in this scale this year.

Very well done
