Mini Hobby Models 1/144 Tempest V - Completed

Recommended Posts

The decals are on. The codes and fuselage band were a strange greeny blue colour so I had to paint over them, not perfect but it'll have to do. I replaced all the roundels with spares.

You can see the horrible greeny blue in this one.

Cheers guys :) It's not been the easiest kit to build but I'm glad I stuck with it. Believe it or not, I have ANOTHER Tempest in my stash! I think I will hold off doing that one for a while, for the sake of my sanity

I forgot to mention during the build, that the undercarriage legs are scratch built and the main wheels are from a Me 262.

More photos in the gallery.

You've just cheered me up as I've lost a re-worked Sea Fury spinner I was just about to paint...and there I was just about to smash the rest of the build up, and in my anger, I've been quieted...Lo I saw a shimmering, maybe hazy view... A one forty fourth TEMPEST my Lord...and accurate too! (Apologies to Neil Young)

Beautiful effort for one so heavily into 'production'. Slow down and I'll love you more!

But bloomin loverly, that's all I'll say.
