PaulR
Evening all, Haven't posted in a while, because I have had about five projects on the go . . . without actually finishing any! Anyway, here is a few shots of the first 1/32 model I have attempted. The kit is the Revel Typhoon; accurate, but tricky (but not impossible) to put together. I have used Xtradecals for the 1 sqn markings, but also used Two Bobs for stenciling and the serials, which are a peculiar light blue on the Xtradecal sheet. I also used the full range of Two Mikes resin for it; FOD intake covers, APU exhaust, and inner pylons, plus Aires burner cans. The latter were fab, but easily broken. I also scratch built seatbelts from wine bottle foil, and little antennas around the nose, and just behind the canopy. Paints were Tamiya XF19 for the Barley grey, and XF80 for the light aircraft grey for the wheel wells and ASRAAMS. Now for that 100sqn anniversary Hawk in 1/32 . . . Val
Looks great to me mate. I've heard the Revell Typhoon is a bit of a pig going together in places, I've got the 1/48 version to contend with at some point! A great model.
mtd350
Cracking build and I had the same idea or I might do the gairish 3 sqn green tail. One tiny wee niggle though as I see these kites almost every day is that the drill asraam they use has a pink and blue bands not yellow and blue. The other pylon normally carries a Typhoon raids pod, which for some strange reason nobody makes. I'm sure one of the ex armourers on here will explain it much better than I can. Will have to try and find a pink decal stripe! on other great unexplained mysteries, why hasn't anyone done a centreline pylon and lightening pod.... mtd350
Wolfpack Resin do a 1/32 lightning pod. Don't know if the yank and brit ones are different? TwoMikes Resin (if he's still going) did a lot of 1/32 Typhoon stuff HTH

Stuart91
Hi, great build, lovely finish, can i ask where you got the inner weapons pylon from? pylon between the drop tanks and fuselage, been on the look out for a set for ages!! seem to be quite hard to get hold of in 1/32 Cheers, Stuart
