Caerbannog
Very nice build - next time I can get hold of the Wright Flyer I will strike - despite the box scale. Rene
Jherek
I have left the wooden edges of the base for now and just varnished them. I'm still thinking about black but, as usual with these things, I'm indecisive and need to consider it for a while. I think the wooden edges compliment the sand, I think black would distract the eye. Stunning finish btw! How did you decide what colour the wires should be? Edited May 15, 2014 by Jherek
Will Vale
Lovely work, so very neat and tidy! I bet not many kits moulded in 1958 end up looking as nice as this. Will
Bengalensis
Thanks a lot for the kind praise. I think the wood base looks quite ok, better than I expected. I didn't think much of the colour of the wires, I choose natural monofilament fishing line as it would be more or less invisible from some angles, and catch the light and show up from others, a bit like in all photographs. The colour itself must be planin wrong from a strict point of view, but at this small size it works like I hoped.
