but why noe super sonic 500L fuel tanks within this release?

I believe the photo is just missing, nothing more otherwise a lot of things would be missing: front of JL-100 rocket launcher/tanks, AIM-9Bs, etc.

this sprue on the other hand would not be missing too much with a Mirage.... (MER and Mki82 Snake Eyes)

I'm pretty confident that all the ordnance provided in the IIIE/R/RD boxing will be provided.

The supersonic tanks will be ok on the IIIEBR but I don't think that the Daggers used them: I believe Israeli supersonic jettisonable tanks (the ones with three fins) were used instead.

At first glance the instruction sheet seems a bit vague in places as if the Dagger option seems added on. The section for weapons shows the Magic at an angle as I believe it is mounted that way on Argentinian Mirage IIIEA's but it doesn't show the pylon in the diagram.

It just means that Kinetic didn't care to debug the issues of the Mirage IIIE/O instruction booklet. It was already there. I sort of kind of did something:

nice decals!

I think we are all waiting for the IIIS specific nose cone... any resin examples in the meantime?

the external center line tank (RUNT) is the same as in the AMK kfir kit afaik :)

I'd be really grateful if anyone could point me towards a reference (book or online, don't mind which) that clearly explains/shows the 'Swiss nose cone'. I've seen numerous vague references to it (usually about it being some combination of 'bigger/longer/different') but never anything specific.

@ HOPKP

Lela Presse publish the Tome 4 book Les monoreacteurs Dassault a aile delta / Mirage III/5/50 en service a l'etranger.

It includes a section on every one of the nineteen foreign users including Switzerland. Page 92/93 have good photos showing the early and later Taran nose.

Going back a few years when the first of the 'new' Mirage III s (Eduard?) Came out There was a link to a Swiss modeller who gave a very full explanation of how to build one using the ESCI / Itaelri III E I think as the base.

As luck will have it can't find on phone with a quick google but will look when home again.

Cheers

Chris

There's also a 1/32 Revell IIIE IIIS conversion here: http://replic.canalblog.com

The Lela Presse book has drawings based on Dassault internal layout drawings.
