Shermaniac
I'm not sure where to start? I have assembled from my collection the following kits. Now, I hope to do as many as I can without compromising quality (otherwise, what's the point!) - if nothing else, it should be colourful - luv those teef - - - Any suggestions? Shermaniac
I think I've put this in the wrong bit - should be in GB Chat???? This is my first GB - proper. Edited April 12, 2014 by Shermaniac

Mozzy19
You could maybe do the LTV4 and the figures to make a small diorama. Sean
Turbine_Man
Can I submit a Douglas skyraider which was used during the Korean War but is A-1H and not marking of one not involved in the Korean War?
Procopius
I think it needs to have been a participant. Otherwise I could just build a RAF Mustang IV from 1944, or a 1960s-era Czech Air Force MiG.
Col.
Alright gang, may as well commit, Seafire 47 from the 48th scale Airfix kit fully loaded with fuel tanks and rockets as well as RATOG if I can find some.
Turbine_Man
As no resources here to source parts required to build anything other than what I have in stock. But then very little external differences except colour schemes I guess. So will be a blue one.
Black Knight
I'll stick with the mundane; a couple of F51 - one USAF and one RAAF. If I can find it I'll do the Airfix F80c as well. Maybe an F86 as well. I'll see how I get on.
paganpete
Wooh, not long - between this and painting loads of 6mm napoleonic figures I do not think I will have time for sleep - oh well! Think I will be doing a mig 15 for this one!
Mozzy19
Can I submit a Douglas skyraider which was used during the Korean War but is A-1H and not marking of one not involved in the Korean War?Unless you convert it into a Korean War ere machine with the appropriate squadron markings, I'm afraid he later version doesn't qualify for this build. But if you intend on using decals for Korean War era machines, I'm sure we can let you get away without totally converting it. Sean

The conversion from A-1H to AD-2/3/4 isn't difficult. This is a good guide. http://www.hyperscale.com/2009/galleries/skyraider72sc_1.htm I'm sure we can help you out to get you there. What decals do you have for it? Edited April 13, 2014 by -Neu-

I only have this kit that is anywhere close to being used in Korean War, unless someone knows if a TallBoy equipped Lancaster, Chinook, F16 or F4J was used..lol. The only letters I get are from the UK tax man. But if anyone has some spare decals that would allow me to produce something close to what is required I would be grateful and try and make something worth of entering. address is Gavin Halls, Rotating Equipment Engineer, Daewoo ENP, IBC, no 88 Paya Road, Hliang Township, Yangon, Myanmar. no idea when my next trip to Singapore is so will have to wait until August to stock up with supplies when my next R&R is back to UK. -Neu-
Hmmm... 1/48 This guy did one: http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Gal13/12701-12800/gal12773-Skyraider-Pedulla/00.shtm And I guess you need these decals.... http://www.hyperscale.com/2007/reviews/decals/ed48107reviewrk_1.htm http://www.fantasyprintshop.co.uk/Skyraider-Korean-War-USMC_A8KMR.aspx So what's the issue? are you not allowed to be shipped anything from the UK to Myanmar? Any package will be sent to the central post office where the receipiant may or many not actually be notified of the package. Letter are slightly different that they will be delivered direct. Again there is DHL which works well but is expensive. Hannants will deliver but again there is no guarantee of me actually receiving the supplies. I write a shopping list of all the things I need and either wait until I can get to Singapore or back to the UK.
Procopius
If it's just a decal sheet, it should go in a normalish letter (I order lots of decals from Hannants, it's a sickness). Perhaps you could write something to that effect in the Special Instructions?

-Neu-
Awesome to see that we'll get a few sandys... It makes me wonder why nobody produces an actual AD-1/2/3/4 out of the box in 72nd and 48th.
Wolwe82
Hey guys, just a little question to be sure. Do i have to build exact marking of units operating in the korean conflict or it needs to be just the right type and units/users doesnt matter?
Mozzy19
It would have to be from a unit that was an active participant in the war. Otherwise you could build pretty much anything from that era. HTH Sean
