Spitfire31
Superb finish on an elegant machine! Perfect canopy framing adds to the precise impression, as well as the understated weathering. My only microscopic gripe would be the dabs of silver paint on the wing leading edge. They just don't convince me that they are scuffed paintwork… ;-) Beautiful modelling! Kind regards, Joachim

Hi, Thanks! I tried using Citadel metallic for the leading edge wear, and am not happy with the result. I've since removed about 75% of it and have some small touch-ups to do. Oh well, if you don't try, you don't learn. Colin Edited April 8, 2014 by Tail-Dragon

HL-10
You've really done a fantastic job on that model. Lovely finish, and a great job on the transparencies!
Alan Kelley
Stunning job. I would not like to have been masking that canopy- although I do have 2 bf-110s & a fw-189 in the stash to get done.

rwoolven76
Colin, Great work with this one. It all came together nicely and your finishing skills are excellent. I can tell you're a real artist. :-) Once again, thanks for your help on my build. If mine comes out even half as good as this I'll be very happy. What's up next? Richard Hi, Thanks for the kind comments, it seemed to drag on a lot, then suddenly came all together - that's always the way, right? (by the way, I actually was an artist - aviation art!) Your 111P is coming along quite nicely, I like what you've done with the preshading- that's something I could never quite get the hang of. I'd work on 1/72 also, if my eyes didn't date back to the stone-age! Whats next? I was going jump into the Special Hobby HE-115b, but something got me going on the Classic Airframes DO-17Z (YIKES - what a kit!) so I guess I'm going to plow ahead with that (I'm on a Battle of Britain kick) Thanks again for the great comments, Colin
