Revell 1:72 de Havilland Mosquito B. IV

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

After all of the kind remarks about my collection of Mustangs, I thought I'd follow them up with another one I prepared earlier - the 1:72 Revell (ex-Hasegawa) de Havilland Mosquito B. IV.

This was bought from the little shop in the engine shed at Grosmont on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and built OOB. It gave me a lot of trouble, especially around the nacelles, engines and wing-to-fuselage joins - next time, I think I'll save myself the bother and go with a Tamiya kit...

Paint is Xtracrylix, applied by brush. Thanks for looking - more to come in due course...

Got you on flickr now, and with City of Winnipeg done here I can eliminate that from my decal choices! :fight:

Just kidding, was thinking CYYC anyway.

Very nice indeed! I didn't know Revell re-released the Hasegawa Mosquito.

Very well done, I've got one in the stash, it's good to see it can turn out that nice.

They didnt , Its the same Revell balls up with the horrible spinners , over sized wheels and short undercarrage legs. :weep:

I have this one in the stash. Work to commence before the year is out... It is the old Hasegawa kit for sure, some of the sprues still carry the Hasegawa logo!

You've done a great job on this kit. I'll be doing mine this year.....
