jaw
Some info please. Does anybody have any thoughts on the Cyber Hobby Venom/Sea Venom kits. Worthwhile - or not. Views welcome! Thanks, John

It might be a good start...I can't help I'm afraid as I now have a couple of the old Frog/Novo and Tasman models set aside. Personally I want to stay with these as they are eminently workable and relatively cheap. All the best with the Venom/Sea Venom. The wooksta V2.0
The general consensus was that it was an expensive in-accurate waste of time. Add a few extra quid and get a CMR one.

Thanks The Wooksta!...I'd heard and thought as much, hence the cheaper more 'workable' choices I've made. I just didn't have the experience with these kits to be so forthright, but now I can... As to a CMR...maybe one day! Graham
The wooksta V2.0
I have to confess that I never bought one, but given the ill-fitting nature of the Dragon kits I've bought in the past and the generally negative comments it received here (including a slating from someone who works with a preserved example - Hi Danni!), not to mention the high price tag, I gave it a miss. For my purposes, ye olde Frog kit and it's many b'stard* children is more than good enough with some slight additions courtesy of John Adams. I've got a Tasman example somewhere and it's nice. *Despite using the word in it's correct context, the swear filter blocks it! venomvixen
Come on Danni (venom Vixen) you know you want to........ Only because its to early go to work and I'm bored! Some tibits from a previous post http://www.britmodel.../?hl=cyberhobby http://www.britmodel.../?hl=cyberhobby And the infamous "Cyber warrior" remark, http://www.britmodel.../?hl=cyberhobby I do note the lack of any further comment from that poster even though I more than backed up my observations.
jaw
Thanks for all the comments and in particular Danni's exposition - quite masterful and most useful. Yet another example of the knowledge within BM ranks. I was more thinking about the Venom NF3 kit, but I guess this will exhibit similar issues to the Sea Venom, so I will forget about that and go for the CMR kit - if I can afford it! Thanks again to one and all. Cheers, John
Forlornhope
I went the CMR option after seeing the reviews Danni did of the 2. Th CMR is very nice and well worth the bucks

Martian
I'd be well pleased with that comment if I knew what a "exposition" was A laying out of the facts Danni. Given that your Dad owns a Sea Venom and that you get to work on the thing, I am amazed that anyone had the nerve to question you observations. You are pretty much "Miss Sea Venom"! mumbles
I'd be well pleased with that comment if I knew what a "exposition" was Nobody expects the Spanish Exposition! No, wait. . . Just adding to the chorus that Danni's Sea Venom comments have always been clearly and reasonably made, with an obvious knowledge to back them up. After a while one can tell who knows what they are talking about and who doesn't.

SeaVenom
As well as some inaccuracies the FAW 21's got one of my pet hates (vanishing vague window frame lines) if that's any help.
venomvixen
Just for clarification The only reason I know anything about Sea Venoms is what my Dad has taught me. He's done all the hard yards, I just get in the way. And he doesn't actually own a Sea Venom he only acts like it's his! I'm now going to nip off and change my address and identity before he see's that last remark!
