stevej60
Thanks for the link Jerry,we tend to forget that the second world war was fought in colour! especially fascinating for me to think that at the time this was filmed my dad was was down on that very ground being shot up by american P38,S,bit annoying as he was with the British army at the time. Test Graham
The quality of the colour seems pretty good - at least the ones on the ground in close-up. Some of the flying ones are less happy but some modern film has problems in the glare and changing conditions in flight too. The commentator needed a bit of help - the RAF etc. Bostons didn't specialise in low-level or go strafing the Afrika Korps. The ones in the Pacific did, but that's different story. Scott Hemsley
Graham- Maybe the RAF didn't operate the Bostons at low level, but in the ETO - 418 Sqn. (RCAF) did ... as night intruders. The commentator did mention that, briefly. Bit of a shame they didn't mention them a bit more as they were the only RCAF squadron to fly the Boston III's.
