Julien
As some of you are aware some members have been sending kits out to our troops and their NATO colleagues serving in Afghanistan. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234957197-stash-cull-for-the-stan/ We now have a few photos in of the models that have been built. Please bear in mind most of these guys have never done a kit before and are working with basic tools and acrylic paint (mainly starter set pots) Adam's Hurricane. Keno's Sea Harrier II More to follow when we get them. Julien
Julien
Seems our model Hurricane has been for a little spin over Afghanistan in something slightly more modern!

bzn20
Great photo's. I never thought I'd see a Hurricane as FOD ! The 1st photo I wondered what it was in, Chinook, probably a bit high. A Tristar/voyager? not when I saw the frame just in view. I never thought it would be in a fast jet! Thanks for showing that and for being out there, keep safe! eng
Nice to know they guys and girls are getting plenty fun from the kits! Wonder if they whizzed them round the cockpit making plane noises, or just held them still and waggled the stick about a bit!!! Great pics, Eng
Julien
More pics from the stan; The CO's Rafale (See everyone is getting involved) Robb's Gnat. Adam's Letov (Extra points here as its a KP Kit!) Alex's GR.3
richellis
Now, I cant be alone in thinking this. If they have done that sort of job with basic tools, and what ever has been sent, while out in the 'Stan' what sort of a job could they do at home with all the stuff we have at our benches! The quality of these builds is great!

Absolutely you're not alone Rich! I always think my model room looks like a warzone, but seeing these reminds me just how much it isn't really!! More brilliant stuff from a real warzone - makes me think I should get rid of much of my stuff & get back to basics - looks more fun...!! keith
