Mike
WaterFiller PuttyTrue-Earth Waterfiller Putty is a new formula of water-based resin from True-Earth, to fill those gaps we find building our plastic models. It’s a white colored dense fluid, with some properties that turns the annoying putty-and-sanding into a fast and straightforward job. At first of you must know that in most situations you need no sanding at all. And second, from now onwards you will need no more to re-carve all the little details you always lose in other-brands-putty session. Thinning is done with water. Removal with alcohol or Isopropanol (IPA).PRODUCT AVAILABLE HERE at True Earth webshopFREE TUTORIAL for all newsletter subscribers.
The dragonborn
Looks like the same kind of filler as Vallejo plastic putty to me.
ironwork
This one is not a vinylic formulation, thus it can be sanded, with dry sandpapers or files, as told into the tutorial. It also adheres much better to plastics.
Will Vale
How bad is the shrinkage? That's the thing which I've found the biggest problem with other water-based putties.
colin
Deluxe perfect plastic looks to be the same, though that comes in a 40ml tube, haven't tried ipa on it, but it does clean up with water and sands to a fine finish

andym
Cant see how this would be any different to Mr Surfacer which I use exactly the same way?Andy
LeVi Tophatter
Cant see how this would be any different to Mr Surfacer which I use exactly the same way? Andy I do the same thing Andy, and I sometimes use a Milliput paste. The difference between this and Mr Surfacer/most other putties is that you use water or alcohol rather than acetone, cellulose or lacquer thinners/solvents. Looks to be a 'safer' and pretty convenient product although how it fares on the shrinkage front is another matter...
