KMC Boeing 727 in 1/72 - any problems?

I acquired today one of these and at first sight it is very nice, with the main parts in injected plastic and detail parts in resin. It has the panel lines too deep for my taste, but otherwise I think it is a good kit.

Are there any known accuracy problems?

Thanks,

Carlos

What do you think about the individual plastic windows, instead of stripes of windows as more usual? And do you think that in 1/72 decals can be more realistic? I have doubts about that even in 1/144...

It only resembles a Boeing 727 from about 5 meters away. No one will mistake it for a Spitfire, but that's about the best you can say for it.

I have had a KMC kit for some years.Although I have not yet built this kit I have looked at it.Also, I have seen many photos of the built model.

As far as accuracy is concerned I am very disappointed.

The main inaccuracies I have noticed include:

1.The nose -too wide and square (section 41 in the actual aircraft)

2.The fin -especially the bad over exaggerated leading edge and the height and shape of the fin.

3.The incorrect profile of the under fuselage aft of the wing.

4.The too small center engine air intake.

5.Too thick wings.

6.Inaccurate main landing gear.

There is no excuse why KMC did not produce an accurate B727.

I would love one of the other kit makers to produce the B727 in 1/72 (especially the B727-100

When possible I intend to purchase the Authentic Airliners resin B727.

From what I can see it is a SUPERBLY accurate model kit !
