Hi Everyone,

Here is my first entry to this GB : Revell 1/14 F-14A Tomcat ' Vandy One'

I have thoroughly enjoyed this build, so much so that I bought a second kit to build in the alternative decal/colour scheme.

Here are the pictures :

2 Drop Tanks, 2 Sparrows, 2 Sidewinders and 2 Phoenix.

This is the Academy kit which apart from the Phoenix and Sidewinder missiles was built out of the box. It depicts a Tomcat from VF-84 that operated during Op Eagle Claw, which was the operation that was meant to rescue the hostages from the American embassy in Tehran.

HobbyBoss 1/72 F-14B kit combined with parts from an F-14A to yield a late-service F-14A flown by the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Centre in 2002. Decals are from the Fightertown Adversary Bad Cats sheet, 72002, pitot by Master and the exhausts are by Aires.

First GB in over a year, and I picked a bad kit, which along with my lack of patience and time meant the result isn't as good as I would have hoped. However, the Tomcat is too cool to ever look that bad!
