cger
Hi, here are a few pictures of my last completed build, it is the Eduard reboxing of the Airfix Spit 22-24 1/48 kit. Along with a nice decal sheet, it includes an Aires resin cockpit. I added another Aires set for the Griffon engine. As often the resin is very nice, but I ended reinforcing the engines braces with piano wire to get a strong bond to the firewall. The paints are Tamiya, I used their recent RAF WWII colors. I hope you will like it, best, Christian.

stoohoo
lovely build Christian, looking at yours makes me want to get mine started, out of interest did you use a vac replacement for the canopy, looks nice and thin?
cger
Hi stoohoo, yes I used a Squadron vacform replacement canopy, the one in the box is quite ugly. If you plan to add the Aires engine set, one has to spend some time dry fitting the various pieces , as often with Aires the resin looks gorgeous but the fit is problematic. regards, Christian.
